I was born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine. In the late 90s I moved to Chicago where I enrolled into The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. By the mid 2000’s I graduated from the SAIC with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In 2023, I relocated to Charleston, SC, where I currently live and make art full time.

Primarily, I work with oil on canvas. My practice is both a reflection of and a response to my human experience. Through my work, I aim to capture the emotional and physical essence of the objects and scenes I encounter.

Recently, I've been drawn to objects with complex structures. I'm interested in discovering patterns within what initially appears chaotic. It's an exploration to uncover relationships between smaller elements within a composition. It appeals to my philosophical nature, I guess. As I perceive and interpret the world around me, I find myself questioning whether chaos is an illusion—if harmony is waiting to be revealed.
